Houyem Chekki Cherni

Her main research
interests are Social Protection, mainly pension and health issues. Her
work spans conceptual, empirical, and policy analysis. She is
particularly interested in implementing overlapping-generations
computable general equilibrium models (OLG-CGE models) with GAMS.
She received her Ph.D and Habilitation Degree in economics from Tunis
University and a Certificate of attendance and success in intensive
program of CGE modeling with GAMS from EcoMod
Modeling School, Free University of Brussels, Belgium.
She was ERF 2011
winner of the Best Paper Award in Macroeconomics studies: The ERF 17th
Annual conference 20-22 March 2011, Antalya, Turkey: "Macroeconomics
effects of pension reforms in the context of ageing population:
Overlapping Generations Model Simulations for Tunisia"
She provided advisory
and training services in policy modeling with GAMS at the CRES (Center
for Research and Social Studies, Tunisia).
